This meal is simple to make and incredibly buttery and delicious! Inspired from a traditional New England crabmeat stuffing recipe, we’re giving it a unique twist by using Italian Piave and Dot’s Crumbles in place of Ritz crackers!

Ingredients

  • 12 Jumbo Shrimp (16-20 count), deveined, peeled, butterflied

  • 1/2 Stick salted butter

  • 2 Tsp. Garlic, minced

  • 2 Celery stalks, minced

  • 1/2 Lb. Crabmeat

  • 2 Tbs. Lemon juice

  • 1-2 Tsp. Hot sauce (optional)

  • 1/3 C. Dot’s Crumbles

  • 1/4 C. Fresh parsley, chopped

  • 2 Tbs. Italian Piave, grated

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan; then add minced garlic and celery and saute until soft

  • Add crabmeat and lemon juice and cook 1-2 minutes while stirring lightly

  • Combine Dot’s Crumbles, parsley, and grated Piave in a bowl

  • Fold in ingredients from the saucepan (and optionally add hot sauce at this time); the mixture should stick together and be moldable

  • Place butterflied shrimp on a lined/greased baking sheet

  • Add a large scoop of stuffing on top of each shrimp

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes and serve immediately with some cracked pepper and extra lemon juice

A cold New England style IPA and loaded baked potato skin will pair harmoniously with this dish!
